The Association, with the funds raised publicly, extensively explores co-operation areas, positively supports establishments in village communities.On the basis of conserving the environment & cultural resources of Tibetan communities, the Association effectively resolves the conflicts of development & conservation; modifies the economic development modes that damage the environment; encourages the communities to conserve while developing & to develop while conserving; elevates the communities’ ability to conserve bio-diversity & cultivates the communities to be the effective masters of promoting local sustainable development in the areas of ability, organization & policy.

Setting up village schools
Caochi school is a 3 years’ full time boarding school. In 2004, there’re 3 teachers & 72 students in the school in which 25 students were girls. In the same year, with the funding from Asian Development Bank & help of the Association, the school built a row of classrooms, Total area of the newly built classrooms was 149.8 sq. metres; with 3 classrooms & 1 teachers’ office. We had also helped the village committee to formulate school administration management, file management, school roll management, financial management, materials management, catering management & pasture management .
