Ecological Culture Festival

On the basis of inheriting traditional natives’ ecological culture, we set up the Community Ecological Culture festival as a platform to conduct green fashion show, horse racing & life releasing, to promote prohibition of killing (of wild animals), to conduct talks about mountains & rivers & natives’ games, to explain religious ecological views, to conduct community supervision contests, to select the most compassionate villagers, show promotional films on endangered animals etc, activities which are beneficial to the environment. We embody education in amusements, self- education & show to the main stream society the charisma of community ecological culture.

In 2005, we successfully held the 1st Tibetan Green ecological culture festival in Diching village Canlang River source. In July 2007, we again organized the ecological culture festival in Caochi. The festival based on the worship ceremonies of Holly Mountains. Through green fashion show, horse racing, life releasing, prohibit killing (of wild animals), talks about mountains & rivers, natives’ games, explanation of religious ecological views, community supervision contests, selecting the most compassionate villagers, showing promotional films on endangered animals etc we promoted the idea of green consumption, green clothes & demonstrated to the main stream society that we pioneered in the Tibetan society of not wearing clothes made from endangered animals.
